Description
Grotta dello Smeraldo is a fascinating sea cave on the Amalfi Coast, named after the emerald light penetrating the underwater opening.
The interior is decorated with unique limestone formations - stalagmites and stalactites shaped by the sea and time, creating a fairy-tale landscape. A special attraction is the underwater crib made of Vietri pottery, placed at a depth of four meters in 1956.
A short 10-minute boat trip allows you to admire this remarkable natural wonder. The cave has long remained undiscovered due to the lack of a natural exit above the water level, which adds to its mystery.
