Description
The National Garden in Athens is a green oasis in the heart of the Greek capital, founded in 1840 by Queen Amalia.
The 15.5-acre site features more than 500 species of trees and shrubs from around the world, as well as ancient columns and Roman mosaics.
It's the perfect place for a leisurely stroll among the lush vegetation, where you can relax by a small lake with ducks and turtles. Children will enjoy the mini zoo and playground, and history buffs will appreciate the archaeological finds scattered throughout the grounds.
