The Open-Air Water Power Museum is a fascinating outdoor museum in the heart of the Peloponnese, where history comes alive thanks to restored 16th-century water-powered workshops.
Amidst lush greenery and streams, you will discover working grain mills, powder mills unique in Europe (crucial to the Greek War of Independence in 1821), a fulling mill for processing fabrics, and a tannery. All the mechanisms are fully functional—you can even grind grain yourself!
