Alexanderplatz

Alexanderplatz is a lively square in the heart of Berlin, named after Tsar Alexander I after his visit in 1805.

It's a place full of history - from the March Revolution of 1848 to the peaceful demonstrations of 1989 that contributed to the fall of the Berlin Wall.

On the square you'll find landmarks: the TV Tower (the tallest building in Germany), the World Time Clock (a popular meeting point) and the Neptune Fountain.
