Description
Eastern. Gallery is one of the oldest artist-run art spaces in Poland. Founded in the early 1980s by Adam Klimczak and Jerzy Grzegorski, it became an important center of culture and art during a turbulent period of Polish history during martial law.
The gallery is housed in an old tenement and consists of two interconnected exhibition halls and a living space for guest artists. The venue is known for its non-commercial, experimental art projects that often extend beyond the physical space of the gallery into the streets, stores and public spaces of Lodz.

Radosław Jakubowski6 years agoYou wouldn't believe there might exist an art gallery on such destitute and dirty street as Wschodnia street.
Yet, this small and private space has been offering "food" to artistic souls for over 30 years now.
Tall white walls are all it takes to display art plus projections are made as well.

The pleasant decor of the room and professional service with super nice cookies, desserts and everything sweet and forbidden because super tasty and sweet made me always come back here.
