Description
The Omaha Beach Memorial is a poignant memorial commemorating the most tragic Allied landing on June 6, 1944. The 1,400 m² museum displays authentic artifacts, weapons, and documents from "Bloody Omaha," where more than 4,000 American soldiers lost their lives.
A unique Navy SEALs monument with granite panels and a sculpture of a sapper pays tribute to the units that cleared the beach of obstacles. The exhibition shows the American and German perspectives and human stories of heroism, including the contribution of Native Americans.
