Cloître des Carmes

Cloître des Carmes is a unique historical monument in Avignon, part of a former Carmelite monastery dating back to the 14th century. This Gothic complex impresses with distinctive architectural elements such as pointed arches, buttresses and gargoyles.

Since 1967, the venue has served as a space for performing arts, especially during the famous Festival d'Avignon. The excellent acoustics and historic backdrop create a unique atmosphere for concerts and theatrical performances.
