Description
Place Ducale is a 17th-century Baroque square, twin to Paris' Place des Vosges, designed by Clément Métezeau. It measures 127 by 90 meters and impresses with the symmetry of its 27 pavilions connected by arcades made of warm stone and brick.
In the center stands a marble fountain, and the whole area is surrounded by atmospheric cafes and restaurants. The square is bustling with life during puppet festivals, concerts, and light shows. It is the perfect place to relax in the shade of the arcades and a starting point for discovering the traces of Arthur Rimbaud.
