Abbaye Sainte Marie de Pierredon

Abbaye Sainte Marie de Pierredon is a historic treasure hidden in the heart of Provence. This 11th-century abbey impresses with its simple Romanesque architecture with its distinctive two naves and semi-dome.

Originally being a chapel, in 1205 it was handed over to the monks of the Chalaisien order, who expanded the church and erected a monastery. Today the ruins of the monastery are integrated with buildings erected over the centuries.
