Description
Balblair is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland, founded in 1790 by John Ross.
What sets Balblair apart is its unique approach to whisky production - instead of standard age designations, it offers vintage editions that reflect the character of each year of production.
At the distillery, you can experience traditional production methods using copper alembics and see the aging process in American oak barrels. For true enthusiasts, a unique experience of hand-bottling whisky straight from the cask is available.

Juergen3 months agoA friendly welcome from the great girls. We 4 German men were given a private tour. The sweet assistant did a great job. A fun and flavourful tasting at the end. Balblair and the girls will remain in our fond memories. Servus.
Bryne Vince Valenzuelaa month agoBalblair is the whisky geek's dream. We did a tasting and tour which was very informative about the history of the distillery, the equipment, and the community. All staff are from the area living and working so you feel that sense of community deeply. We got to visit the dunnage warehouse, understand how the Pictish stone ties in and sample the varying bottles on offer. They do have a fill your own bottle cask that is the Distiller's choice which produces around 200 bottles and a great selection of merchandise that is not offered at other distilleries.
