Fontanna Neptuna

The Neptune Fountain is a true gem of Gdansk that has been a delight since 1633. This Mannerist-Rococo masterpiece depicts the Roman god of the seas with a trident in his hand, standing on a black pedestal surrounded by a sandstone balustrade.

Designed by Abraham van den Blocke, with a bronze figure cast by Peter Husen, the fountain is one of the city's most recognizable symbols. Surrounding the statue are fantastic sea creatures that add to the magical feel of the whole.
