Description
Flodden Field Memorial is a granite monument commemorating one of the bloodiest battles in British history, which took place on September 9, 1513.
The 1¾-mile-long battle trail leads through key locations of the battlefield, where information boards explain the events in detail.
This is the place where, according to tradition, King James IV of Scotland was killed along with many Scottish nobles. It is estimated that as many as 14,000 people died in the battle, making the site extremely important for lovers of military history and Scottish heritage.
