Description
Fitzrovia Mural is a fascinating example of street art, created in 1980 by artists Simon Barber and Mick Jones.
Inspired by the work of Mexican artist Diego Rivera, the mural depicts a colorful panorama of local community life, with a satirical view of developers and city planners.
The mural features a variety of characters: vendors, a butcher, construction workers, office workers and a portrait of Dylan Thomas, a former resident of the neighborhood. Recently restored, it represents a unique combination of artistic expression and historical significance.
