Description
Finca Vigía is the historic home where Ernest Hemingway lived from 1939 to 1960, and where his most famous works, including 'The Old Man and the Sea,' were written.
The 12-acre property impresses with its minimalist, elegant architecture with large windows and low-profile finishes. The cream-colored interior is decorated with hunting trophies and an extensive collection of the writer's books.
The grounds also include a swimming pool, a small baseball field and groves of almond, mango and avocado trees. Literary enthusiasts can admire Hemingway's fishing boat 'Pilar' and a writing tower with breathtaking views of Havana.
