Description
Stiftskeller Kloster Neustift is a unique place where history meets wine tradition. Founded in 1142, the Augustinian abbey impresses with its rich architecture combining Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Rococo styles.
It is not only a monument of great cultural significance, but also one of the oldest operating wineries in the world. During your stay, you can admire the magnificent manuscripts, frescoes and gilded Rococo decorations in the abbey's library.
Art lovers will find the winged altarpieces by Tyrolean artists particularly interesting.

Nataly M.4 months agoAtmospheric place, delicious wine. You can also buy a jar of honey, spices and tea. Nice girls in service.
Unfortunately, wine tasting is paid. Although I think it is absurd, considering that a bottle of wine 25-30 €, should already be included a digustation, consodering that they pour one sip.
Sharli Colladaya year agoI took the "Deluxe" wine tour and tasting with Roberta (and her assistant Eugenia) in January 2024 with my husband and a friend. This is one of the best wine tours I've attended, including those I've taken at top wineries in Napa Valley, Champagne, Burgundy, Tuscany and Bordeaux. In addition to tasting many special wines plus an amazing cheese pairing, you also get to see the historical areas of the abbey that are not open to the public. Highly recommended for lovers of history and wine. Roberta is the best!

Decent food and wine
Food is only charcuterie, so not really vegan options here.
Typical of Alto Adige, prices are ok
