Description
Esplanadi is a historic park in the heart of Helsinki, designed in 1818 by Carl Ludwig Engel.
It is an elegant space with simple tree-lined avenues, flower beds and famous sculptures, including a statue of Finland's national poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg.
The park is bustling with numerous cultural events and outdoor concerts, especially during the summer season. Surrounding cafes and restaurants, such as the historic Kappeli, which has been operating since 1867, offer traditional Finnish delicacies.
