Description
Eilean Donan Castle is a medieval fortress located on a picturesque island where three Scottish lakes meet. Destroyed during the Jacobite Rising and restored in the 1930s, this 13th-century castle hides the fascinating history of the Mackenzie and Macrae clans.
Its stunning architecture and spectacular views of the Kintail Mountains and the Cuillin range make it one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. Inside, you can admire the Feast Hall, the Kitchen and the Jacobite Chamber, which transport you back to the turbulent times of Scottish history.
