Description
Sosua Beach is a charming, crescent-shaped bay on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, protected by coral formations.
The crystal clear waters and abundance of colorful tropical fish make it an ideal spot for snorkeling and scuba diving. Mature trees along the beach provide natural shade, while numerous bars and restaurants offer a variety of international cuisine.
The site has a fascinating history - once a banana plantation, later a refuge for Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany during World War II. Today, you can still visit a synagogue and a museum dedicated to this history.
