Dom Goethego

The Goethe House is a unique museum in the heart of Frankfurt, where one of Germany's greatest poets was born and grew up.

Visitors can enjoy faithfully recreated interiors from the 18th century, including the kitchen, Goethe's mother's reception room, his father's art collection and the room where he created his first literary works.

Special highlights include an extravagant Baroque staircase with an ornate balustrade and a mechanical astronomical clock from 1746, showing not only the time, but also the phases of the moon and the position of the sun in the signs of the zodiac.
