Description
Disraeli Monument is an imposing 15-meter-high Bath stone monument designed by Edward Buckton Lamb in the Victorian style.
Erected in 1862 as a surprise gift to Benjamin Disraeli from his wife Mary Anne, it commemorates Isaac D'Israeli, a renowned literary critic and historian.
The monument is decorated with two inscriptions - one dedicated to Isaac and the other to Mary Anne. As you walk around, you can enjoy picturesque views of the Hughenden Manor estate and the surrounding countryside, and discover an animal cemetery created by Coningsby Disraeli.
