Description
Devil's Glen Wood is a scenic woodland in County Wicklow, offering two marked trails: The 5km Waterfall Walk and the 4km Seamus Heaney Walk.
The most impressive feature is the spectacular waterfall where the Vartry River flows into the gorge. Prior to the construction of the Vartry Reservoir in the 1860s, the roar of the waterfall was so powerful that it earned the nickname 'satanic force heralding a great fate'.
The forest is famous for its variety of deciduous and coniferous trees, including beech, Spanish chestnut and ash. It's the perfect place for nature lovers, families and seekers of inspiration.
