Description

Commanderie des Templiers is a fascinating historical monument dating back to 1187, founded by the Knights Templar. The site served an important function as a stopover for pilgrims traveling to Santiago de Compostela.

Today you can admire the Tour du Griffon tower with its carved griffin, offering a panoramic view of Figeac, as well as the chapel and the knights' hall.

The museum displays exhibits related to life in the Middle Ages. The grounds include a courtyard with a bistro and a gift store. It is an ideal place for lovers of history and medieval architecture.
