Finca Silletera y Museo Abuelo Sarito is a family farm-museum in Santa Elena that preserves the fascinating tradition of the silleteros, porters who transported people and flowers from the mountains to Medellín on wooden frames.

Grandmother Sarito's house hides an extraordinary collection of antiques: antique kitchen utensils, the first cell phones, typewriters, cameras, and radios. The owner, Don Guillermo, tells humorous stories about the 200-year history of the silleteros.

Gardens full of traditional flowers and a typical fonda with local snacks create an authentic Andean village atmosphere.
