Parque de los Deseos

Parque de los Deseos is a unique 12,000-square-meter square in Medellín, combining science and entertainment on the site of a former railway yard.

Eight interactive installations educate visitors about astronomy and Colombian heritage, from parabolic sound-transmitting surfaces and a sundial to a replica of the Muisca observatory. In the evenings, the square turns into an outdoor cinema with free screenings on the planetarium facade, concerts, and workshops. Fountains, a sandbox, and a playground attract families, while food trucks provide snacks.
