Dongshan Lake

Dongshan Lake is one of four artificial water reservoirs in Guangzhou, created by the older generation with their own hands. Today it is a charming place offering a peaceful atmosphere and picturesque views, especially in spring when exotic flowers bloom.

The lake has two islands connected by five bridges, the most photogenic of which is the Five Arches Bridge. You can spot black swans on the water and rent rowboats (40 yuan for 20 minutes).

For children, a small fountain in the center of the park is an attraction, and photo enthusiasts will appreciate the view of Canton Tower in the background.
