Liuxihe Dam

Liuxihe Dam is an impressive structure in Guangdong Province, offering much more than just breathtaking views. Built between 1956 and 1958, this double-curved arched reservoir hides fascinating attractions, including a huge eight-meter-high rock shaped like a human face on the lake's shore.

The surrounding area delights with lush forests, waterfalls and picturesque islands such as Monkey Island and Heron Island. For the adventurous, boat tours, cable car rides and climbing trails with panoramic views are available.

A historical touch is the granite monument commemorating the heroes of the Sino-Japanese War.
