Cave of Poetry

The Poetry Cave is one of the most beautiful natural pools in the world, located in Roca Vecchia, Italy. The emerald water surrounded by rock walls creates an unforgettable place to swim and jump from 5 meters high.

The site hides a fascinating history - the cave's walls contain ancient Messapian, Greek and Latin inscriptions, testifying to centuries of human presence.

According to legend, the name derives from a beautiful princess who, while bathing here, inspired poets and singers. Alternatively, it may derive from the Greek word 'posis', meaning source of fresh water.
