Zamek Orawski

Orava Castle is one of the biggest tourist attractions in northern Slovakia. This impressive fortress rises majestically on a high rock above the Orava River, impressing with a mix of architectural styles from Romanesque to Baroque.

Visitors can enjoy numerous exhibitions: archaeological, ethnographic, natural history and historical interiors. Particularly popular are night tours with theatrical re-enactments, which add to the castle's mysterious atmosphere.

The castle was also the film set of the famous 1922 'Nosferatu', where it represented Count Orlok's Transylvanian castle.
