Trakoscan Castle

The Trakošćan Castle is an architectural gem that impresses with its neo-Gothic form and rich history dating back to the 13th century. Originally a small observation fortress, today it is a magnificent example of a romantic residence surrounded by a picturesque park and artificial lake.

The interiors of the castle hide original furniture and artwork from the 15th-19th centuries, which will transport you back in time. Legend has it that the name comes from the Thracian citadel (Arx Thracorum) of the Roman Empire or from the German knights of Drachenstein.
