Schloss Tarasp

Schloss Tarasp is an impressive castle with almost a thousand years of history, located at an altitude of 1,499 meters above sea level in the picturesque Engadine Valley.

This medieval fortress, built around 1040, combines historic architecture with modern art thanks to its current owner, artist Not Vital.

The castle offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley and snow-capped peaks. Inside, visitors can admire the Knights' Hall with original armaments, the San Tarasio Chapel with Gothic frescoes and a unique organ from 1914.

According to local legends, during stormy evenings you can hear the whispers of medieval warriors guarding the castle walls.
