Schloss Bothmer

Schloss Bothmer is an impressive Baroque palace in Klütz, which is one of the largest surviving buildings of its kind in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Built between 1726 and 1732 for Count Hans Caspar von Bothmer, it combines Dutch and English influences, as seen in its distinctive windows and symmetrical design.

After an extensive renovation worth more than 36 million euros, the palace offers tours of more than 20 chambers that explore the history of the Bothmer family. The palace park, with its avenue of linden trees formed into garlands, creates a romantic setting ideal for strolling.
