Description
Casa de Colón is a fascinating museum dedicated to Christopher Columbus and his voyages to the New World. It is housed in the former governor's mansion where Columbus stayed during his first expedition in 1492.
The museum offers 13 exhibition halls showcasing ship models, artifacts from the expeditions and an extensive collection of art from the 16th to 20th centuries, including works by Titian and Veronese.
The building's unique architecture combines Neo-Canarian and Gothic styles, and four courtyards represent different styles: Arabic, colonial, Gothic and traditional Canarian. It's the perfect place for lovers of the history of geographic discovery and architecture.
