Cannop Ponds - Forestry England

Cannop Ponds - Forestry England are picturesque ponds located in the heart of the Forest of Dean. Created in the 1820s for local metal works, these historic water reserves are now a nature lover's paradise.

It's the perfect place for a family picnic, a leisurely stroll among the greenery, or to observe wildlife - Mandarin ducks, swans and dragonflies. The lower ponds are used by the Yorkley fishing club.

The surrounding area offers well-marked hiking and biking trails to suit different skill levels. For the adventurous, the Sculpture Trail and fascinating Puzzlewood Forest are nearby.
