Burns Monument

Burns Monument is a unique two-story Gothic-style monument commemorating Scottish poet Robert Burns. Made of red Ballochmyle sandstone, it combines elements of Scottish Baronial, Neo-Gothic, Baroque and Romanesque styles.

The original monument included a marble statue of Burns and a small museum dedicated to the poet. Although the tower was destroyed by fire in 2004, the structure remains an important landmark for lovers of Scottish literature and history.

The Burns Monument Center offers access to historical collections, hosts cultural events and genealogical research.
