Description
Brugse Vrije is a historic building in Bruges that for centuries served as the administrative, financial and judicial center of the region.
Its biggest attraction is the monumental fireplace designed by Lanceloot Blondeel, made of oak, marble and alabaster - a true masterpiece from 1528.
On the roof of the building shines a golden statue of the Lady of Justice, symbolizing the former function of the court. The interiors hide a former courtroom and a Renaissance hall that allow you to travel back in time and feel the atmosphere of old Flanders.
