Lagoa da Lagoinha

Lagoa da Lagoinha is actually Ponta da Lagoinha, a spectacular rock formation over a billion years old, referred to by geologists as the 'Brazilian Himalayas'.

The dark, ancient rocks contrast with the crashing waves, creating a surreal landscape ideal for contemplation and photography. A short trail through native vegetation leads to a viewpoint with a 180-degree panorama of the ocean.

At low tide, rock pools and additional formations are revealed, and late afternoons offer dramatic light at sunset.
