Description
Botanični vrt Univerze v Ljubljani is the oldest botanical garden in southeastern Europe, founded in 1810.
The garden's area is home to more than 4,500 different plant species, about a third of which are endemic to Slovenia.
The garden is divided into thematic sections: an arboretum, a plant system, ecological and geographical groups, and a tropical greenhouse with more than 380 species of tropical plants.
It is an ideal place for nature lovers to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and learn about the fascinating world of plants.
