Description

Botanical Garden Munich-Nymphenburg is a true paradise for nature and horticulture lovers. Founded in 1914, it impresses with its diversity of more than 16,240 plant species and subspecies, making it one of the most important botanical gardens in the world.

The impressive 4,500-square-meter greenhouse complex showcases plants from the humid tropics, cool mountain forests and hot deserts. Particularly noteworthy is the orchid collection of more than 2,700 species, as well as the collections of cacti, sagophytes and ferns.

An additional attraction is the Alpine Garden on Schachen, located at an altitude of 1,860 meters above sea level, where more than 1,000 species of alpine plants can be admired.
