Blindensee

Blindensee is a unique peat bog lake located in the heart of the Black Forest, surrounded by a picturesque nature reserve.

The place delights with an abundance of rare plant species, including round-leaved sundew, cranberry and marsh orchid. Especially valuable is the extremely rare Scheuchzer sedge, which has found its refuge here.

Fascinating local legends are associated with the lake, including the tale of a cow that drowned in the lake and surfaced in.... Danube! Wooden footbridges leading across the bog allow you to admire this mysterious ecosystem without disturbing its delicate balance.
