Description
Bernwood Meadows is a scenic 7.5-acre nature reserve that is part of the larger Bernwood Forest project.
It's a true paradise for nature lovers and photographers with over 100 species of plants, including rare orchids and cuckoos. The reserve is famous for its diversity of butterflies - rare species like the black-haired and brown-headed butterfly can be found here, as well as meadow butterflies: the marbled whitethroat, meadow pennywort and icarus praying mantis.
The colorful meadows create a natural color palette, and carefully managed hedgerows support a diverse plant community.
