Description
Belas Knap Long Barrow is a fascinating Neolithic tomb from around 3000 BC, located on Cleeve Hill.
This impressive 54-meter-long barrow conceals four burial chambers, in which the remains of 31 people have been found. The most intriguing feature is a false entrance at the northern end, designed to confuse grave robbers or to serve as a 'ghost door'.
Walking around this prehistoric monument, one can enjoy not only the perfectly preserved architecture, but also the picturesque views of the Winchcombe area. This is the perfect place for lovers of history and the mysteries of the past.
