Description
White Nothe Beach is a unique beach at the foot of a 160-meter chalk cliff at the eastern end of Ringstead Bay in Dorset.
The famous 'Smugglers' Path' - a steep zig-zag descent once used by smugglers - leads to the rarely visited beach. The site offers breathtaking views of the English Channel, the Bat's Head cliffs and the famous Durdle Door.
For geology and history buffs, this is a real gem - the area is famous for its prehistoric landslides and fossils. You can also admire the shell sculptures created by Peter Randall in 1985.
