Praia de Monte Gordo

Praia de Monte Gordo is a sprawling 14-kilometer beach on the eastern coast of the Algarve, famous for its soft, golden sand and exceptionally calm waters.

It is an ideal place for families with children - the lack of strong currents and small waves create a safe environment for swimming. The water temperature, though the warmest in Portugal, reaches a maximum of 24°C in summer.

The pine forests surrounding the beach add charm and tranquility, while the seaside promenade offers gardens, cafes and restaurants serving local delicacies. For the active, there are bike trails and equipment rentals available.
