Playa de Ajuy

Playa de Ajuy is one of the few black beaches in Fuerteventura, nestled between high rocky cliffs.

The distinctive black volcanic sand and surrounding rock formations create an extraordinary landscape. The nearby Ajuy Caves, part of the Ajuy Natural Monument, hide a fascinating history - they once served English pirates as a hideout for stolen goods!
