Description

The Primate's Basilica of the Sanctuary of St. Adalbert is one of the most valuable religious monuments in Poland. This 10th century Gothic cathedral impresses with its monumental architecture and wealth of historical treasures.

Among the unique elements are the famous Gniezno Doors from the 12th century depicting the life of St. Adalbert, a silver sarcophagus with the saint's relics and a Gothic crucifix from 1430.

It is the site of the coronation of Polish monarchs and a witness to almost a thousand years of Polish history. It is worth reserving about 1.5 hours to discover all the secrets of this remarkable monument.
