Banat Village Museum

Banat Village Museum is a fascinating open-air ethnographic museum in Timișoara, covering 17 hectares of picturesque grounds.

Discover more than 30 authentic village houses from the 19th century, representing the region's various ethnic groups - Romanians, Slovaks, Swabians, Ukrainians and Hungarians.

The space is divided into three thematic zones: the Village Civic Center with a wooden church from 1746, the Ethnicity Alley and the Living Museum. Each house is furnished with traditional furniture and decorations, giving a glimpse into the daily life of the former inhabitants of Banat.
