Description

Audley's Castle (State Care Monument) is a fascinating medieval residential tower dating back to the 15th century, picturesquely located on the Castle Ward estate.

Named after the Anglo-Norman owner John Audley, this unique building is notable for its distinctive design with two towers connected by an arch at roof level - a rare type of architecture found only in County Down.

Fans of the TV series 'Game of Thrones' will recognize the place as the Twins, the seat of the Frey family. The castle offers not only a trip back in time, but also breathtaking views of Strangford Lough.
