Description
Gdansk's Mariacka Street is one of the most charming streets in the Old Town, dating back to the 14th century.
It is famous for its picturesque townhouses with distinctive frontages decorated with biblical and mythological scenes, as well as unique gutters (decorative gutters).
It is a center of the amber and silver trade, with numerous galleries and cozy cafes. Walking along the cobblestone pavement, admiring the gothic architecture and atmospheric backstreets is a real trip back in time, especially in the evening, when the street takes on a magical character.
