Towpath

Towpath is a scenic walking path along the Lot River, connecting the port of Bouziès to the waterfront in Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. This 4.5-kilometer route offers breathtaking views of the Lot valley, with cliffs reaching 70 meters high.

The path is decorated with sculptures carved into the rock by Daniel Monnier, depicting the river and its surroundings. Along the way you pass the hand-operated Ganil Lock, designed similarly to Leonardo da Vinci's design.

You'll cover the entire route in 2-3 hours, discovering charming corners and stores with local crafts along the way.
