Description
The cave sculptures and caves of Harfistka are a unique tourist attraction in the Czech town of Želízy-Liběchov. The monumental 9-meter-high Devil's Heads, carved in sandstone by Václav Levý between 1841 and 1846, are among the largest in the world, comparable only to Mount Rushmore.
The site also impresses with the Klácelka Cave with sculptures inspired by the fairy tale 'Ferina Lisak', and the statue of the Harpist - a woman playing the harp. A walk along the blue hiking trail through the forest is the perfect opportunity to discover these fascinating works of art and feel the magical, Tolkien-like atmosphere of this remarkable place.
